About the Event
Dr. Scott Petersen comes to Guemes Island Community Hall to share his knowledge of earthquake history in our area and known faults. Well acquainted with local and regional geology, he will share predicted models of tsunami impacts throughout the Salish Sea and specifically Guemes Island. Dr. Petersen holds a Ph.D. in geology and lives on Fidalgo Island.
Guemes Island Emergency services will be present to respond to specific questions about emergency preparation and response.
