About the Event
On October 5, islanders heard a presentation from Fidalgo Pool and Fitness Center leadership on the benefits of Proposition 1, which proposes forming a new Fidalgo Metropolitan Park District (MPD)—annexing Guemes and other islands with a new property tax.
This Saturday, join island resident Cindy Kamp for an in-depth look at how this annexation came about, permanent powers bestowed on a MPD, and what this proposed new property tax may mean for you now and in the future.
